What's a Pilates jumpboard?
Ah, the jumpboard, perhaps our favorite Pilates reformer accessory. This nifty gadget boasts low-impact, heart-pumping cardio workout (but your knees will thank you) and it's FUN (in the words of one of our favorite customers, "Jumpboard is the best. When I push off I say, 'Wheeeeee'").
On your Flexia Reformer, this accessory replaces your footbar, fitting (and locking!) effortlessly into your corner brackets for a secure landing. Comparable reformers use jumpboards that screw into place between two pads and can wobble or fall out completely during movement--we're not into that.
...so, what exactly is a jumpboard?
Some expect a trampoline, others picture a landing surface half this size, and a growing number of our 1:1 demo customers have a hard time visualizing jumping on a horizontal plane (we get it, it sounds a little strange...).
Here's the thing about Flexia, ✨we love questions✨ So, here are some answers:
1) It's not a trampoline, but a firm surface, with grippy bumps that provide just the right amount of cushion for landing.
2) It's WIDER than a standard reformer jumpboard, so there's no gambling whether or not you'll land the last jump when you're tired.

Why do we love it?
Three words: low. impact. cardio. 👏
According to the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), a mix of strength training (like Pilates) and cardio each week can help sharpen your focus, improve your mood, and regulate your blood pressure.
Good thing your reformer does it all.
Get your heart rate pumping with cardio-rich classes that leave your joints happy...an added bonus is the core stability needed to hold your legs in the air during jumps--you'll feel the burn in these classes.
Bye-bye treadmill and spin bike, we're getting our cardio on the reformer ✌️
